NURSERY
Thanks to the constant research in discovering and rediscovering new and old varieties, now the Cocus Vivai company boasts a productions of more than thirty different Citrus' varieties.
The entire production is grown under open shade nets, respecting the natural phases of growth and following traditionals practices.
This allows to obtain strong ``saplings``, which grow harmoniously, taking advantages from natural agents, such as sun, light and the typical microclimate of the area.
From planting to grafting, meticulously following the stages of pruning, flowering and fruiting, each plant is grown with love and care. This allows to obtain an excellent finished product that fully reflects the demands of an increasingly demanding market.
PRODUCTION
PLANT AND GRAFT
Best seeds are chosen, we plant and await the growth of the rootstock, the varieties to be produced are carefully chosen, taking material from the mother plants, grafts using traditional methods, handed down from older generations. All this using hands, experience and strong attachment to nature.
CULTIVATION AND TEAM WORK
Don't call generically plants, but saplings! We plant small ornamental citrus trees that grow and develop in pots of different sizes, while retaining all the characteristics of a real tree. Each stage corresponds to work and the teamwork is the right key to achieve excellent results in all aspects. Cocus Vivai is a young company that relies on the presence of professionals, competent figures with excellent experience in the field. Every member of the team is essential!
BLOOMING
Orange blossom , Sicilian emblem, inebriating scent, a natural sight!
Here the blooming represets the most important phase. Every flower will be a fruit...every fruit has unique and inimitable features. Large for citrons, clustered for chinottos, white or brushed with purple for the different lemon varieties. As with Japanese cherry trees, for Sicilian citrus trees, the bloom is a unique and exciting time!
FRUITING
It's the most waited phase! The iridescent, colorful, most coveted one!
It's exciting following all the stages of a fruit's growth! Seeing it sprout and gradually grow, change, become more and more beautiful, reminds us that nature is wonderful.
Chlorophyll, that firstly gives deep green color to the citrus fruit , decomposes due to natural mechanisms, and so it is replaced by flavonoids (anthocyanins for red/orange fruits) and carotenoids, pigments responsible for fruit coloration.

Our attention goes not only to our customers, who are garden centers, wholesalers and large retailers, but also and especially to the customer who represents the last step in the chain, whom we affectionately like to call ``Mrs. Mary``. This ``modus operandi`` allows us to establish a symbiotic relationship with our customers that aims at the same goals: satisfaction and loyalty of those who buy lastly.
GARDEN DESIGN
Evergreen, scented, and nice in every phase of growth, ornamental citrus plants lend themselves to multiple arrangements, suitable for enriching open, semi-open spaces, large and bright halls. The vibrant colors of the fruits, the deep green and the fragrance of the bloom, are reminiscent of the warm Sicilian sun and give any environment, pleasant and lively scenic effects.
EVENTS
We will be present again this year at the Myplant & Garden Signature Event on February 21/23 in Milan. International event reserved for professionals in the floriculture industry.
